Madiba Day 2025 – Spreading Warmth and Joy

In July 2025, we celebrated Madiba Day by spreading warmth and joy through our annual beanie drive. Over 600 beanies were handed out to children at three schools in Macassar and three schools in Strand and Gordon’s Bay, along with a chippie and a lolly for each child. Virgin Active Waterstone joined us at one of the schools, bringing extra excitement by giving out lucky packets. We also had the joy of sharing beautifully knitted blankets with the gogo’s and tata’s in our community, who were deeply grateful for this blessing during one of the coldest winters we have experienced. In addition, we were able to give OK Foods grocery parcels to the teachers as well as to the gogo’s and tata’s, adding an extra layer of care and support to the day.
