In May 2025, Halli Trust had the privilege of supporting a courageous Grade 12 learner from Nomzamo High School who carries a heavy responsibility on her young shoulders.
At just 19, she is the backbone of her family after her mother lost her job. No longer qualifying for a SASSA grant, she began selling chips at school—despite rules against it—just to afford basic essentials like printing paper for her studies.
When her story reached us, we knew we had to help. Halli Trust provided groceries for her and her family, offering not just relief, but a message: You are not alone.
Overwhelmed with emotion, she burst into tears of gratitude, a powerful reminder of how a small act of kindness can bring light into someone’s life.
We’re inspired by her determination and honored to walk alongside her in this journey.
