Moments of Hope Through Sport

In March 2025, our Community Representative in Macassar, Jolyn Joseph, gifted a rugby ball to a young boy with a deep love for sport. The moment he received it, his joy was unmistakable. Overflowing with excitement, he sent Jolyn a message expressing how truly honoured he felt to be chosen for such a meaningful gift. With that ball in his hands, he now has a chance to sharpen his skills and pursue his rugby dreams.

Then in April 2025, we had the joy of purchasing brand new soccer balls, rugby balls, and netballs—and with grateful hearts, we shared them with children and teams in our communities.

The response was beautiful.

In Nomzamo, our Community Representative Gloria Hungana handed a soccer ball to a small group of boys. They were so thrilled that they came up with a plan to take turns taking the ball home—each one treating it like a treasure.

Back in Macassar, Jolyn gifted another rugby ball to a young boy with a big dream: to one day become a professional rugby player. The look on his face said it all—his smile was pure, priceless joy.

These weren’t just sports balls. They were seeds of hope, encouragement, and love. And we’re incredibly grateful to have played a part in creating memories that will stay with these children for years to come.
