School Shoes

In March 2024, one of the young boys from our False Bay Halli Club attended a Learning and Reading session recently. During introductions, he slowly walked up, crying and dragging his foot, and we soon noticed his school shoes were badly worn, despite his attempts to fix them. Tauheera Williams, one of our volunteers, was deeply moved and immediately contacted the Halli Trust office. We knew we had to help. When we gave him a new pair of school shoes, the smile that spread across his face, mixed with the tears in his eyes, touched us all.
